My father Bill Everley took these photographs between 1944 and 1946 when he was stationed in India.

He helped fit RADAR units to aircraft.  He had previous fitted them to aircraft looking for U-Boats during

the Battle of the Atlantic. He took the photographs with a Brownie Junior Super Six 20 Camera.

Anyone interested in the development of RADAR and its application to aircraft searching for surface vessels and submarines will be interested in the account of the role played by Edward George "Taffy" Bowen from Cockett, Swansea.
